After releasing the 2x7" LP splits with Sloan, Idee Du Nord, and jale, Eric's Trip went into the studio with Bob Weston and recorded their debut LP for Sub Pop. Rick recorded "Allergic To Love"recorded in Rick's Mom's "perfect" living room. At the end of the LP and this song, the listener can hear Julie talking to Tara (whom the record is named after), on the telephone. The band recorded "Spring" similarly to their old band configuration, with Julie performing guitar on this track, alongside Rick on vocals and guitar, with Chris handling bass guitar duties, similar to their previous four self-released cassettes. When the band were recording "Blinded", Julie sang this song all crouched down in a corner when they recorded it. (1 - Hinterland Who's Who - Eric's Trip, Wittchen, Tara L., 1996.)
